Fillings: After decay is removed from a tooth, something must be placed in that space to give strength back to the tooth. Fillings are the most common restorative procedure. Fillings can be silver or white. At the Davis Dental Center we only perform white fillings with the best material on the market.
Cosmetic Dentistry: There are many reasons that patient's want to have cosmetic dentistry performed. Damaged/decayed teeth, chipped & worn teeth, broken teeth, gaps in teeth, missing teeth, rotated teeth, gummy smiles, mis-sized teeth or discoloured/stained teeth. At the Davis Dental Center we want to help you get the smile you want by performing many possible cosmetic procedures like bonding and veneers.
Bonding: Bonding is performed in one visit and will give instant satisfication for those wishing the quick
and easy procedure. The materials used in bonding are the same materials that are used in
white fillings - composite. This composite is directly bonded to areas of the teeth to help give the look of fuller, whiter and straighter teeth along with filling in gaps between teeth. Most bonding procedures can be done without anesthesia and with minimal prepping if any. This patient did not like the spacing between her teeth. Bonding was performed without shots to give the patient the smile she wanted.
Veneers: There are two different types of veneers that we perform at the Davis Dental Center. We offer the traditional porcelain veneers and the ultra-thin Lumineer Veneers
which need minimal to no
prepping. The traditional veneers are placed when extensive damage due to decay was present. Lumineers veneers can be placed when the tooth structure is healthy and minimal restorations have been placed. Either option will give a fantastic result. See some cases that The Davis Dental Center has done. This patient had traditional veneers and an implant crown due to previous extensive tooth loss. Can you tell which tooth is the implant?
Partials: There are two major types of partials that are done at the Davis Dental Center. The
traditional metal framework with acryllic and plastic teeth and the new Valplast flexible partial. Each partial that is designed and made at the Davis Dental Center is custom made and specific for each patient. The metal partials are very durable but usually unaesthetic due to the silver claps. The Valplast partials blend into the surrounding area and are more comfortable. Whatever your desires are, the Davis Dental Center will find the correct partial to fit your lifestyle. This patient has a traditonal metal framework partial on the top and a Valplast flexible partial on the lower.
Tooth Whitening: If you just want to whitening one tooth or if you want to whitening them all, the Davis Dental Center can help you obtain that beautiful white smile that you always dreamed of. The two main types of whitening are Take Home Whitening and In-Office Whitening. With the Take Home Whitening system the patient receives custom whitening trays and one month's supply of whitening tubes. Refills can be purchased at the office. The In-Office Whitening jump starts your smile about 2-4 shades lighter and the Take Home Whitening is also included to continue to obtain and maintain that white smile while at home. The whitening system used at the Davis Dental Center is Ultradent's Opalescence.
